Seedlings Braille Books for Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the opportunity for literacy by providing high quality, low-cost children's literature in braille. It was founded by a Lutheran in 1984 because she found that braille books were scarce and expensive. Since that time, Seedlings has produced and distributed over 380,000 free and low-cost braille books to children across the US and around the world.
