Information from the organization
The FVVC administers the Veterans Emergency Fund. The VEF is the only nonprofit entity in the Outagamie, Calumet, and northern Winnebago counties to provide emergency funding solely to veterans and their families for basic needs. This financial assistance supports self-sufficiency and strengthens families by preventing the problems of eviction, bad credit, and homelessness. Since the VEF's formation in 2011, 233 veterans/families have been assisted.
