Kootenai Humane Society (KHS) is a non-government non-profit independent no-kill animal adoption center. We provide care, shelter, and find forever homes for over 2,500 animals annually. KHS offers at no charge to the community pet food and supplies on a monthly basis to low-income families, a safe refuge for animals of victims of domestic violence, partners with the American Red Cross to provide shelter for animals in major disasters, and educates elementary school students on pet ownership.
