Founded in 2010, Conversations with Friends is the humanitarian, all-volunteer organization whose volunteers visit and support people detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the state of Minnesota. Our support includes weekly pen pal letters, books, commissary deposits (so people can call their families), and 'dignity' backpacks for people being deported that are filled with requested clothing and hygiene items. As a result, they know they are not alone, not abandoned.
* Thrivent will pay up to $300,000 in online processing fees per calendar year for personal donations made through Thrivent's online giving platform.
