McKenzie County Chapter

The McKenzie County Chapter has 560 Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members. Along with Lutheran congregations in the area, they join together to have fun, learn and make a difference through social, educational and charitable activities. The McKenzie County Chapter is one of more than 1,300 geographic groups of Thrivent Financial members making a difference across the country by strengthening Christian communities and congregations that they care about.

From holding a community-wide auction to raise funds for a child with cancer, to building a handicap-accessible play area at a local park, to providing educational opportunities, our members make a difference every day through our chapter system.

Thrivent Choice®Program

In 2012, Thrivent members recommended where Thrivent Financial for Lutherans distributed $50 million of its charitable outreach funds through the Thrivent Choice® member-advised charitable grant program. By directing Choice Dollars®, eligible benefit members recommended that Thrivent Financial distribute grant funds to more than 20,000 congregations and organizations.
  • In McKenzie County Chapter, 8 congregations and organizations received $7,450 in Choice Dollars charitable grant funds.

Support from the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and its subsidiaries contribute to the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation, which awarded more than 492 grants totaling $9.8 million in 2012 to support the Lutheran community and Thrivent Financial's corporate communities. In addition, the Foundation matched more than 20,000 employee contributions with grants totaling $6.5 million.
