How Great Is Our God

Got this in my email today and it was worth sharing.

How Great is our God!!!
Our Creator and Redeemer . . . and do we THINK about it ??? God's accuracy may be observed in the hatching of eggs.. . . . .
For example: -the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days;
-those of the canary in 14 days;
-those of the barnyard hen in 21 days;
-The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;
-those of the mallard in 35 days;
-The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days.
(Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!)

God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant.
The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. No other quadruped is so made. God planned that this animal would have a huge body, too large to live on two legs. For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily.

The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first. A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first. How wise the Lord is in all His works of creation!

God's wisdom is revealed in His arrangement of sections and segments, as well as in the number of grains.

-Each watermelon has an even number of stripes on the rind.
-Each orange has an even number of segments.
-Each ear of corn has an even number of rows.
-Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains.
-Every bunch of bananas has on its lowest row an even number of bananas, and each row decreases by one, so that one row has an even number and the next row an odd number.

-The waves of the sea roll in on shore twenty-six to the minute in all kinds of weather.

-All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks, and the Lord specified thirty fold, sixty fold, and a hundred fold all even numbers.

God has caused the flowers to blossom at certain specified times during the day. Linnaeus, the great botanist, once said that if he had a conservatory containing the right kind of soil, moisture and temperature, he could tell the time of day or night by the flowers that were open and those that were closed!

The lives of each of you may be ordered by the Lord in a beautiful way for His glory, if you will only entrust Him with your life. If you try to regulate your own life, it will only be a mess and a failure. Only the One Who made the brain and the heart can successfully guide them to a profitable end.

I HOPE YOU FIND THIS AS FASCINATING AS I DID. May God Bless You In Ways You Never Even Dreamed.

Interesting. Thanks for psoting. I am thinking of posting it on a atheist blog. Would be interesting to see the explinations they will come up with since the universe and everything in it is just a coincidence.

"I often get letters, quite frequently, from people who say how they like the programmes a lot, but I never give credit to the almighty power that created nature. To which I reply and say, "Well, it's funny that the people, when they say that this is evidence of the Almighty, always quote beautiful things. They always quote orchids and hummingbirds and butterflies and roses." But I always have to think too of a little boy sitting on the banks of a river in west Africa who has a worm boring through his eyeball, turning him blind before he's five years old. And I reply and say, "Well, presumably the God you speak about created the worm as well," and now, I find that baffling to credit a merciful God with that action. And therefore it seems to me safer to show things that I know to be truth, truthful and factual, and allow people to make up their own minds about the moralities of this thing, or indeed the theology of this thing."

Apaul, that worm is the terrible result of sin in this world. When God created the heavens and the earth, all things were intended for good.

So the worm isn't a creation of God? Or it used to be good until Eve bit the apple? Or something else?

I think I'm right when I say that, the particular worm can only live in the eye, so before there was sin where did it live ?

No, it was a worm and it lived on something else before sin entered the world. However, I really do question the existence of a worm that lives only on the eye. I can't imagine that it's life cycle is very long or that there can be very many of them. I realize there are some countries that are extremely poor but sustenance is surely very limited.

So I googled a worm that eats the eye and discovered the following web site:

http://abcnews.go.com/Health/Wellness/worm-eats-mans-retina-terrible-parasites/story?id=11700175

The worm is a parasite that starts in the stomach and works its way to the eye where it imbeds under the retina. Also, the article states there are only 15 known caess in the world.

More common. However the frequency is not the argument the argument is that if you say God created everything then he must have also created this parasitic worm, but I get your argument basically this was a good worm before there was sin? And when there was sin it started eating eyes.

According to what I read, the worm does not actually bore through the eye or cause damage to the eye but simply crosses over it, which takes about 15 minutes. The other symptoms and side effects of this worm appear to be much worse although there is no indication that I could find that it is usually fatal.

Like I said, there was no sickness or death until sin entered the world. Man lived in harmony with all creatures.

An epidemic in some countries . http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/river-blindness. If only they could go back to be nice parasitic worms, when Jesus comes down again will we live in harmony with these parasites that only use our bodies as a host?

The old earth will be destroyed. There will be a new heaven and a new earth. Only God know what He has planned for His new creation but there will be no sickness or evil in paradise.
