My family ran the orphanage on Seaman Street in Toledo, Ohio in the Late 1800s (?) and through the first half of the 1900s. They were Christian Lohmann, Katharina Elisebeth Beckel Lohmann and their children Sabine, Lydia, Mathilda, Elise and Alwin Theodore Lohmann. Does anyone have any information on them or can anyone tell me how I might be able to access information on them?

The home is still in Oregon, on Seasman St. It assists the elderly and orphans and has a great reputation for being dedicated and caring. I've heard their representatives discuss their mission. I live about 30-45 mins. from there.
If you need their phone no., I'd be glad to communicate with you and give you info. I've heard the story of how the home was established and I believe I've even seen pictures from those early days, perhaps in a video at my church. Please contact me if I can help you.

Blessings,

Cheryl
