Good heavens. This is likely a vent, and only a vent, but am open to any and all suggestions or ideas...or ways to word a resignation letter!
I haven't been this frustrated since...years, I guess. I was a Chapter president from the get-go, had an awesome board and even better region. Okay, had to "remove" a vice president once, and a financial director another time, but things went well for the most part.
Then I moved. I asked right away about Thrivent volunteering and no one knew what I was talking about. That was four years ago, and it's not really improved much! The Board seemed to think that their job was to just to give away all the money at the first meeting and the FRs were invisible. But no one wanted to get new ones, because it might hurt someone's feelings. Argh.
I became a records director because, somehow, my name came up and they were desperate; then I moved back into the president slot. I am pulling out my hair.
Our VP is AWOL; as is our records director; our financial director says he's done after this - his first - year. One church is AWOL; another is giving us grief over Giving Plus - hello?????? Chapters never had anything to do with that. Sigh.
Now I find myself going back in to double-check everyone's work and oh boy, is it a fiasco! Guess my question is why we still don't have any real editing capabilities in posting activities - we've been asking for this since the merger!
See, I just assumed that adults could possibly manage to DO THEIR JOBS, not just correctly, but actually DO them!
