Elaine, a site administrator for the Southeast TN Northwest GA page, has asked a really good question in regards to how/when to post as herself and how/when to post as the page administrator. We have noticed that others have struggled with the same thing. Here is her question:
How can I make a personal comment with my personal picture showing up? This week I made a personal comment and the Thrivent logo came up instead of my picture.
This message board is a great place to post these sorts of questions! Stay tuned for an answer...
1 - Log on to Facebook and go to the page you an admin for.
2 - Click "Edit Page" in the upper right hand area of the screen.
3 - Click on "Your Settings" in the upper left area of the screen to see what is selected for "Posting Preferences." If the box is checked to say "Always comment and post on your page as PAGE NAME, even when using Facebook as YOUR NAME" then anytime you post it will look as if the page is posting it. If you want to post as yourself then you need to uncheck this box and click on "Save Changes." Then anytime you post on the page the post will be under your own name. You would then need to remember to go into here every time and decide who you are posting as - the page or yourself.
1 - Follow the steps above and make sure the "Posting Preferences" chose is not selected to always post as the page and save that change.
2 - Then when you want to post on a page that you are admin for, click on "Account" in the upper right hand corner and select the option "Use Facebook as Page." It will provide you a list of the pages you are admin for. Find the page you are working with and click "Switch." Now you are using Facebook as that page and wherever you go to post it will be as that page. When you are done posting as the page click on "Account" again and choose "Switch back to YOUR NAME" and wherever you post from that point forward will be as yourself.
